BY-ELECTIONS FOR THYOLO EAST, BLANTYRE NORTH CONSTITUENCIES AWAIT 2014-2015 GVT BUDGET

Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has said by-elections for Thylo East Constituency and Blantyre North Constituency await funding from the forthcoming 2014-2015 financial year.
MEC Chief Election Officer Willie Kalonga disclosed this in an interview.
The newly elected President Professor Peter Author Mutharika worn in Thylo East Constituency while MEC postpone elections in Blantyre North Constituency following the death of Malawi Congress Party(MCP) candidate few days to the election.
MEC has also disclosed that it will hold Local Government polls in Mbalachanda in Mzimba and other wards.
