Malawi Manchester Association is informing all Malawians in the North West of England that an official from the Malawi Embassy, London will be in Manchester on Friday the 17th of October and Saturday the 18th of October, 2014 to process the replacement/renewal of old passports. The exercise will take place at Fuzzy Ed, Band Stand, 1077 Hyde Road, Gorton, Manchester, M18 7LJ. Tel: 0161 223 0783. It will start at 9am and finish at 7pm on both days. Lunch break will be between 12 and 1pm.

The requirements for the replacement/renewal of old passports are as follows:

(REPLACEMENT OF OLD MALAWI PASSPORTS)

All applicants are required to bring with them the following:

  • REPLACEMENT FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN OVER 10YEARS
  • REPLACEMENT OF LOST PASSPORTS FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN OVER 10 YEARS
  • NEW APPLICATION FOR MINOR BELOW 10 YEARS (Children born within and outside UK)

 

-Two passport size photos;

-Birth certificate;

-Adoption letters/legal documents;

-Parents’ passport copies; and £40-Fees

  • REPLACEMENT OF LOST PASSPORT FOR MINORS BELOW 10 YEARS

Old passport (whether valid, damaged or expired)

-Two passport size photos with VERY CLEAR WHITE BACKGROUND (size 4.5×3.5cm)

-Marriage certificate for married women

-Divorce/death certificate for women who need to change to their maiden names

-Birth certificate/identity for those born outside Malawi; and £60-Fees

 

-Two passport size photos;

-Police report;

-Copies of the lost passport or previous passports and

– £66-Fees
