Tikonze People’s Movement President Cassim Chilumpha has appointed Zione Akuziona Matumba as his runningmate ahead of the forthcoming May 21 tripartite election.
Chilumpha unveiled his runningmate on Thursday during presentation of nomination papers to Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) at Comesa Hall.
He is the only legitimate candidate who has partnered a woman in the Presidential race.
Chilumpha pulled out of the alliance with United Transformation Movement (UTM) of Dr. Saulos Chilima on Monday over runningmate issue.
