South African Dj and producer Master KG is reported to have escaped death by a whisker on Saturday after two armed hoodlums ambushed him at his home robbing him of R120 000.
Daily Sun have revealed that Master KG real name Kgaogelo Moagi had reportedly been followed by the robbers from Carlswald Lifestyle Shopping Centre where he had withdrawn money from First National Bank (FNB).
Upon his arrival at his home, the thugs pounced on him and his sister, pointing a firearm at him before taking his money and making a run for it.
Police sources who spoke to the publication revealed that the 24-year-old artist had been followed by the unknown assailants from the shopping complex before they pounced on him at his home.
He reported that he withdrew the money from an FNB in the complex because he was supposed to leave for Limpopo that evening to perform.
He later opened a case of robbery, which is being investigated at the Midrand Police Station.
The armed assailants are still on the run and no leads have been made as yet.
No official statement from the South African Police Service (SAPS) had been issued.
