MZUZU (Malawi Democrat) – Malawi will face Namibia in an international friendly on July 6 to mark the country’s independence anniversary.
The match billed for northern city of Mzuzu is to commemorate the 47th Independence Anniversary of Malawi from Britain.
The encounter will also serve preparations for the two teams for the remainder of the 2102 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Malawi will face Tunisia in a crucial Group K qualifier at home in September before wrapping up their campaign against Chad a month later in N’djamena.
On the other hand, the Brave Warriors of Namibia are not in contention in Group F after back-to-back losses to Burkina Faso. The Brave Warriors were tamed 3-1 by Gambia in their group opener.
