Privately owned Malawi-based airline Swift Air is as of 21 Feb 2012 offering flights on the Lilongwe – Blantyre – Johannesburg route. The airline is operating flights (Boeing 737) five times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The return airfare from Johannesburg to Lilongwe are currently ranging from R941-R4 940 inclusive of taxes.

Swift Air is a trading division of African Flying Boats which is a Malawian company holding scheduled and charter licenses. The airline links Johannesburg, Blantyre and Lilongwe with seasonal routes from Lilongwe to Karonga via Mzuzu.
