Malawian striker Russel Mwafulirwa, who is currently training with Jomo Cosmos of South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL), has not ruled out a possible return to Europe.

Mwafulirwa returned to South Africa late last year at the end of his three-year contract with Swedish side, IFK Norrkoping.

“I have been training with Cosmos for sometime but my work permit is taking too long to be processed. We are yet to agree on one or two things with Cosmos but they have made me a good offer,” the 29-year-old told Goal.com.

“In the event that it does not work out here then I will obviously head back to Europe. I will not mention the names but a number of teams have shown interest in me. Returning to Europe is not beyond realms of possibility.”

The lanky striker first signed for Cosmos in 2003 on arrival from Malawi before moving to Ajax Cape Town, which proved to be a spring board for his transfer to Norrkoping in 2008.
