The Independent Schools Association of Malawi has warned that secondary education will crumble if Ministry of Education rushes to implement a new curriculum that is currently being drafted.
ISAMA President Mr. Joseph Patel says the ministry should ensure availability of new text books on the market before putting it into action next year.
“There is no need to hurry before finalizing all the necessary requirements,” said Patel.
But Ministry of Education spokesperson Miss Lindiwe Chide says all mechanisms are in place and materials will be available once curriculum review is finished.
