The Malawi National Netball Team, the Queens have won this year’s Africa Netball Championship in Darsalaam – Tanzania.
The Queens beat Lesotho by 59 baskets to 18 on Saturday to finish the tournament unbeaten.
There were wild celebrations after the win which also meant that the Malawi queens had defended the title.
The queens were tournament favorites after beating the hosts, Tanzania, 34 – 30 in a thrilling but grueling encounter.
The Queens were playing without their matchmaker Mwayi Kumwenda who is Australia and Linda Magombo-Munthali.
