An Airtel Malawi subscriber has won the fifth Toyota Hilux in the ongoing Yabooka Promotion which the company is conducting.

Jane Mwanyongo Kholiyo, a Lilongwe based subscriber won the prize during following a ninth draw which took place at the company’s headquaters in Lilongwe.

“This is a dream come true to me as all along I have wished to drive a car one day. I am very happy that God has finally answered my prayers,” said Kholiyo who is a farmer.

Speaking during the draw Airtel Malawi Marketing Manager Enwell Kadango said the promotion is benefiting a lot of people an expressed hope that these benefits will spread to thousands of Malawians across the country.

“This is part of saying thank you to our customers for making the company a household name in the country. We want to make sure that we uplift the lives of Malawians so that they are able to live a better life,” said Kadango.

Meanwhile, Kadango announced that the company has unveiled a 48 percent viscount offer on SMS as part of the celebrations to mark the country’s 48 years of independence.

Malawi attained the self-rule in 199 from her colonial master, Great Britain.

The discount offer, a first in Malawi, which has been dubbed Independence Yabooka, comes at a time when Airtel is running Yabooka promotion where customers are winning various prizes including brand new vehicles among others.
