Standard Bank customers can now vote at any of the bank’s branches
Standard Bank customers on Monday started voting for their favourite teams to participate in the bank’s 2012 knock-out cup.
The Cup attracts top eight clubs drawn from the Super League.
“Our customers now have a chance to vote for a team of their choice to feature in the cup. The voting is done in all our our branches,” said the banks marketing head Linda Kachingwe-Sisya.
The Cup kicks off on August 3, and the bank has this year increased sponsorship package to K20 million from K15 million.
Winners of the cup this year will get seven million kwacha, while runners-up will pocket 3.5 million kwacha, with the rest of semi-finalists walking away with 500,000 kwacha.
Standard Bank has been sponsoring the FAM Knock-out Cup as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility since 2008.
The Banks Cup runs for about two months, and this year’s champions will be crowned in September.
