Uncertainty surrounds the future of the case involving businessman Mr. Sudi Sulaimana and his accomplices accused of fraudulently soliciting 39.6 million kwacha from Electoral Commission in 2010.

Defense lawyer Mr. Lusungu Gondwe said there has been no communication from the state on the way forward since November 2011 when the case went to court for hearing.

However, state advocate Mr. Jailosi Chafunsa told the media that hearing of the case will resume soon.

He said the case will start with cross examination of Malawi High commissioner to Zambia Mr. David Bandawe, a former EC chief executive officer.
