After seven big and beautiful women battled it out in various categories in 2012 Miss True African Queen popularly known as Miss Matofotofo, it was Constance Kachoka who was crowned.

Among other prizes the matofotofo queen was given a goat, courtesy of Chief Njombwa of Kasungu.

Constance 23, is a Malawi Adventist University graduate and she just proved to the audience that she is sharp upstairs if the way she answered questions is anything to go by.

She takes over from Florence Banda who was the First Queen after the introduction of the pageant in Malawi.

Florence is currently running the pageant as national director.

Speaking at the event at Capital Hotel Marquee in Lilongwe, Deputy Minister of Gender Jennifer Chilunga said the pageant brings about confidence in fully figured women and the initiative has to be supported.
