Blantyre based business man Lamison Chipango became the lucky winner
of grand prize Toyota Prado as Airtel Yabooka promotion reached the
grand finale on Tuesday.

Chipango emerged the winner during the final draw of the promotion
conducted on Tuesday evening in Lilongwe.

Speaking during the draw, Airtel Malawi deputy managing director
Maurice Newa described the promotion as a success saying this is one
way of nurturing customers for embracing the brand.

He said it was encouraging to note that despite economic problems in
the country, the Airtel brand continues to be away of life among most
Malawians.

“I can proudly declare that we have successfully run the popular
Yabooka Promotion as way of nurturing our customers for embracing the
brand” said Newa.

Minister of Information and Civic Education Moses Kunkuyu commended
Airtel Malawi for introducing promotions that have transformed lives
of many Malawians.

The Yabooka promotion ran for ten weeks and saw lucky customers wining
various prizes every week while every two weeks one lucky winner drove
home with a brand new Toyota Hilux pick up. In addition retailers won
Motorcycles, Bicycles’, Airtime and simcards.
