Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair arrived in Malawi on Thursday at around 19:35 local time through Chileka Intertnational Airport.
Blair was met on arrival by British Charge de Affaires Kirks Hollingsworth and Malawi’s Minister Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ephraim Mganda Chiume.
Soon after arrival, Blair was quickly taken to Sanjika Palace where he held iscussions with Malawi’s President, Joyce Banda.
Blair made a brief statement to the media after the discussions.
On Friday, Blair attended an investment roundtable of discussions with the local business community and senior government officials.
He left the country on Friday afternoon.
