Local coaches and football commentators are confident that the Flames can still qualify for next year’s AFCON finals despite trailing Ghana by two goals to nil in the first leg.

The tournament will be held in South Africa.

The Flames must beat the Black Stars by at least two goals to nil to progress in the tournament.

While others deem it as mission impossible, the former Escom United and Under-20 assistant coach McDonald Mtetemera said it is possible for the team to overturn the result at home if they remain focused.

The second leg match will be played next month in either Blantyre or Lilongwe.
