Malawi captain, Moses Chavula has told PRAVDA SPORTS 93.5FM his side was highly impressed with the quality of Black Stars midfielder Christian Atsu in last Saturday’s 2013 Cup of Nations qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium and has revealed there are plans to assign men to to mark the Portugal based dare-devil in the reverse encounter of this continental assignment in Blantyre next month.

Chavula also blamed his side’s dirty tackles and cautions in the first leg of the AFCON qualifier on the dazzling skills of the 20-year-old Atsu.

Chavula said, “Number 7 (Atsu) is one best players in the Ghana team. He is very quick and a very good player that’s why most of the players (Malawi) were committing many fouls after tackling him. We didn’t know him but other big players in the team that is why we were surprised at his performance. We’re going to plan on how to handle him when we play at home.”

Chavula, a defender of Lebanese Premier League side Nejmeh, believes Malawi must emulate the Black Stars by ensuring experienced players are not retired early from the national team.
