South Africa’s sensational Afro Pop musician Zahara left Malawian music fans, who attended her live performance in Lilongwe on Saturday, clamouring for more after giving an outstanding performance at the Joy of Jazz concert.
The concert had been organised by officials Standard Bank as part of the commemoration of 42 years of the bank’s operations in Malawi.
Our reporters say the fans started arriving for the concert at least three hours before its start at the President’s Hotel.
She performed up until after midnight and before her, it was the legendary Wambali Mkandawire who started the journey.
The bank’s Head of Marketing Linda Kachingwe-Sisya told the media that they were satisfied with the concert, saying the bank would be coming up with more of initiatives.
