The Lilongwe First Glade Magistrate Court on Monday sentenced a driver working at the Office of President and Cabinet (OPC) and five others to eight years imprisonment with hard labour, for robbery.
The driver, identified as Andrew Kazembe, was arrested alongside Godfrey Ali, Frank Semu, Jonathan Kalembo, Abdul Chapuma, and another, for robbery in Lilongwe’s Area 9, using a government vehicle, Toyota Hilux, registration number, MG 748 AF. They attacked the house of Shameer Aboo, where they stole four cell phones, a laptop and MK75,000 cash.
