Police at Mponela in Dowa, Central Malawi, have arrested two men for allegedly being found in possession of fake K 500 bank notes, amounting to K 35, 000.00.
Police are however, yet to establish where the bank notes are being produced.
The two, Mr Dominic Bandawe and Mr Kavundula Wanki are to appear before court soon to answer charges of being found in position of fake currency.
The crime attracts a maximum of 7 year imprisonment.
