Malawi government has formally submitted its position on the Tanzania – Lake Malawi border claim to the Africa Forum for Former Heads of State and Government.
According to a news statement, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ephraim Mganda Chiume made the submission to the Chairperson of the Forum and Former President of Mozambique, Joaquim Chissano in the Mozambican Capital, Maputo.
The statement the submission was in line with the set deadline, when Malawi and Tanzania submitted a Joint Application for Mediation to the Forum on December 21, 2010.
