As one way of controlling traffic movement in Blantyre City, The Blantyre City Council says it will soon embark on a one -way traffic system.
Director of Town Planning and Estate Services for Blantyre City Council Mr Coastely Chanza disclosed this in an interview.
Mr Chanza said they decided to embark on the initiative after motorists complained of congestion during peak hours especially in road conjunctions and at the clock tower.
He said Blantyre City Council authorities have already engaged in discussions with stakeholders in the exercise and they will start with a pilot phase program before implementing the initiative.
