The Flames are up two places in the rankings for the month of March released yesterday.
The Flames are now on position 111 from last month’s 113.
In Africa, Malawi is on position 30, up from last month’s position 31.
Zambia is the best team in Cosafa after climbing 11 places to position 36 in the world and sixth in Africa.
South Africa has maintained position 60 in the world and 11th in Africa.
Namibia, who are Malawi’s opponents in World Cup Group F, are also up to two places to position 121 and on position 34 in Africa.
The other Group F member Kenya, are on position 126 and 37th in Africa.
Ivory Coast have maintained position one in Africa and 13th in the world.
Ghana is on position 20 in Africa and second in Africa followed by Mali and Africa champions Nigeria respectively.
Spain are still the best team in the world followed by Germany on second position, Argentina are on third position and England on fourth place.
Italy is on position five followed by Colombia on sixth position and Portugal on position seven.
Netherlands is on position eight followed by Croatia and Russia.
