At least 24 models will likely miss the first ever 2013 Malawi Fashion Week after failing to pay K30,000 entry fee to go in boot camp in readiness for the event.

The event is scheduled for May 30 in Lilongwe.

According to organizers of the event, out of the 38 models that were selected through auditions in Lilongwe only 14 are in boot camp in Ntcheu.

Some of the models have complained about the fee describing it as very high.

The fashion week’s public relations manager Kimpho Loka said they have decided to drop the models who are not participating in the camp.
