The World Vision Lilongwe Cluster recently presided over a livestock pass on ceremony at Chilenje Area Development Programme (ADP) at Nkhoma in the district.

Seventy-three farm animals (19 heifers, 36 rabbits and 18 pigs) were given to farmers in Chilenje community. Chilenje ADP World Vision programme manager Mereena Mankhambera said livestock production plays a vital role in food security and economic development by improving nutrition and a community’s economic stand.
