1. Michu (Swansea)

The Swansea ace was unknown before he made his debut in the Premier league.  The Spanish striker, who only had one season’s experience of top flight football before this year has been the real surprise package of England’s top flight bagging 21 goals in 38 games he has played.  Known for his influential presence and positioning, he has been a revelation at the Liberty Stadium.Despite some big European clubs are taking interest on him,  he signed a four-year contract with the club from south Wales.

2. Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

Sterling was too unknown before the winger made the headlines at the beginning of the season after putting in a string of performances, as well as his link-up play with club’s striker Luis Suarez. The English youngster also made debut for England against Serbia in October. He is not only known for his pace, but also for his willingness and confidence to run at players.

3. Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City)

The Argentine  has been one of the standout defenders in the league this season. Not only has the 28-year-old won the hearts of the fans, but also the captain’s armband.  His effort and ability to stop and win ball from some of the best wingers in the league has made him one of the best right backs in the Premier League so far.

4. Dimitar Berbatov (Fulham)

The 30-year-old has been a proven goalscoring record at every club he’s played at, and infact this season too he has scored more goals than Rooney, Tevez or Aguero which is also his first season at Craven Cottage. The ease and calmness that we see from Berbatov really makes you appreciate the skill and brilliance that we he possesses, meaning that he definitely deserves a place on the list.

5. Marouane Fellaini

The 6ft 4in Belgium international hadn’t been too prolific in his time at Everton since his £15m move from Standard Liège, but this season was his rise to the top. His powerful presence and immense ability in the air has been a major factor in the Toffees’ successful season. 13 goals  from the Belgian this season has attracted attention from some big European and it’s hard to see  how  the Toffees are going to be able to let go their star mid-fielder.
