Somber mood coupled with fear and tears have engulfed in Matope area in Ndirande, when a teen girl aged 18, Esther Dimowa was found dead without head in the afternoon of Friday, have confirmed.

According Blantyre Police Public Relations Officer, Lameck Thembachako, Dimowa, a commercial sex worker, went missing three days ago and only to be found dead without a head.

“Meanwhile, we are investigating to establish what happened. But according to people in the area, she was a commercial sex worker and was residing in the area with her aunt,” Thembachako said.

He said meanwhile the body was at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) mortuary.

“It is reported the girl hailed from Zomba district and was living with her aunt. It is seems she met her fate on night of Thursday”.

Ndirande Township has been infamous with notorious acts including mob justice, a series of serial killing that seemed to have stopped following the arrest of Jack Bandawe the man behind the mask-name, Nachipanti, some years ago.
