Malawi will from tomorrow host a two-day HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS) conference in Lilongwe.

Over 90 delegates have already confirmed their attendance including former Brazil President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, Global Fund Executive Director Mark Dybul, and President of Benin Boni Yayi.

The high powered delegates to the conference is a testimony that the pandemic remains a serious global challenge that needs concerted efforts to resolve, according to the authorities.

The conference will officially be opened by President Joyce Banda who is co-chair of the commission of 30 Commissioners.
