I t has been reported that more members of parliament are dumping the former ruling party Dpp after sensing danger about the party’s chances of doing well in next year’s poll. The legislators are all going to the ruling pp, a party that has recently registered remarkable patronage in its rallies. The parliamentarians that have so far publicly announced their defection are Esther Chiwoko, Kamwangala and Agnes Penimulungu of Lilongwe and olliver Nankhumwa of Thyolo. It is likely this number will swell by 6 July.
