Flames of Malawi will be in action this afternoon against Zimbabwe in the quarter finals of the Cosafa cup. Malawi 5th in Sourthern Africa, has never won this cup despite reaching the finals twice under the Danish Kim Splidsboel. The recent poor for of our dear Flames is a concern to the fans ahead of this encounter. Malawi failed to beat Namibia and Kenya at home in the World cup Qualifiers before loosing to Mozambique on 6th July Indipendence Celebrations at the Civo Stadium. Under the New Tactitian, The Flames of Malawi will go flat out in Zambia today. Tom Saintfeit has switched from a 4-3-3 formartion to a 4-4-2 formation. After a long time Spell in the Sidelines due to an injury,Flames first Choice Goalie Simplex Nthara has reclaimed his position. Moses Chavula, James Sangala, John Lanjesi and Bongani Kaipa will be in defence, providing cover to Nthara. Douglas Chilambo, Young Chimodzi Jnr, Josephy Kamwendo and Fischer Kondowe will be the providers of neat passes to the attacking duo of Jimmy Zakazaka and Gasten Simkonda. Alot has happened to our team but we are optimistic that the boys will deliver in Zambia. Its a lie to say we lack quality in depth, these players are quality and they will make us proud in Zambia today. The game kicks off at exactly 1 Pm (CAT).
