July 17 Demonstrations cancelled

Concerned Consumers have cancelled their planned protests.
According to National coordinator of the protests Maria Mainja, the canceling of the demos today follows a meeting with who she called stakeholders last night.
She however refused to name the stakeholders only saying that they agreed to give dialogue a chance.
The group said it wanted to protest against what they term as President Joyce Banda’s failure to declare her assets publicly and her continued frequent local and international trips.
