Part of the Zalewa M1 road between Phalula and Kam’mwamba has been closed to pave way for the construction of an interference bridge, which is part of the 138.5km rail line being constructed by Mota Engil in the Nacala Corridor Project.
The interruption on the Blantyre -Lilongwe via Zalewa road will last up to six months, according to a statement signed by the managing director of the company.
Meanwhile, a diversion has been created to maintain mobility on the road.
