NGONI KINGDOM
Ngoni people of Mzimba have expressed their wish to have an independent kingdom like that of Swaziland under their own king Mbelwa, an equivalent of king Mswati. In history, it is believed Mzimba used to be a kingdom on its ownbut joined the Nyasaland British protectorate in 1904.
However, some historians like DD Phiri, himself a native of Mzimba has said ‘ its impossible in the current dispensation’.
Is this not coming out of pride? will this radical thinking develop Malawi?
