Electricity consumers in Malawi will experience extensive power black outs for the next 14 days commencing August 31, the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (Escom) has warned.
Addressing the media on Tuesday in Blantyre, Escom said they will shutdown Kapichira I hydro power station from August 31 to September 13.
Escom Chief Executive Officer, John Kandulu said the shutdown is meant to connect Kapichira I to Kapichira II machines to the common water conveyance pipes.
