The Flames have sent an advance party to Nigeria ahead of Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles in Calabar.

This follows the government assurance that it will release extra funding for the team who have a short-fall.

FAM Chief Executive Officer Suzgo Nyirenda and accountant Christopher Mdolo have since arrived in Nigeria to do the ground work for the Group F qualifier, according to Commercial Manager Casper Jangale.

The Flames are in Botswana for a friendly match tomorrow before proceeding to Calabar.

Malawi needs a win while a draw will do for Nigeria to advance to the final two-legged qualifying round
