Reports indicate that one of the Democratic Progressive Party heavyweights in the Northern region and Member of Parliament for Nkhatabay Central, Symon Vuwa Kaunda, has ditched the Democratic Progressive Party to join the Malawi Congress Party led by Rev. Dr. Lazarous Chakwera.
Symon Vuwa Kaunda, who once served as Minister of Information and Sports respectively, is one of the accused in the infamous ‘mid-night six’ plot which saw the arrest and subsequent ongoing prosecution of some DPP heavyweights.
