The Peoples Party media campaigning team has hit another high following the publication of its inaugural edition of its street newspaper, The Sun, today with the headline that Assemblies of God has denied Chakwera — the man who was its president before politics beckoned him.

The print publication comes hot on the heels of another online publication, Banthu times, that has also been discrediting other candidates most notably MCP’s Chakwera and DPP’s Mutharika.

Reports were rife within the week that PP was set to launch a print publication, The Sun. With the contents of the news in the publication today, one can hardly argue that the paper is not meant at promoting the PP agenda.

PP becomes not the first party to set up its own party. The Daily Times was actually founded by the MCP while UDF had its own UDF news, the DPP was once alleged to have founded The SkyNews which went down the moment Bingu died.

It is yet to be known if The Sun will manage to propel PP to fame as it discredits its opponents.
