Malawi teams qualify for quarterfinals

The Malawian teams that are representing the nation at the on going Airtel rising stars in Nigeria have made it into the quarterfinals of the cup.

The Joyce Banda Foundation, representing the male side, has qualified for the quarterfinals after a goalless draw with Nigeria and thereby collecting a maximum of seven points. Matindi Private, a representative of the nation in the female side, has sailed through to the next level after a 1 – 1 draw with Tanzania which has seen it collecting four points.

The teams they will meet in the quarterfinals are yet to be known.
