Mphwiyo shooting: Fourth suspect arrested

28 year old Chikondi Majawa has been arrested in Ndirande this morning in connection to the shooting of Director of Budget, Paul Mphwiyo, barely hours after President Joyce Banda commented on the issue by, among others, urging the police to work on the issue and bring to book culprits.

According to Police Spokesperson, Rhoda Manjolo, Majawa was arrested in Blantyre’s populous township of Ndirande.

Majawa is the fourth suspect to be arrested in connection to the shooting. Meanwhile, a manhunt is still on for fugitive Pika Manondo who is also connected to the shooting.
