South African President, Jacob Zuma, has touched on the raw nerve of Malawians by making a reference of them as people with an African mentality who cannot be emulated when he was addressing concerns over the e-tolling system on the roads of SA.

After making his point that they cannot be taxing anybody simply because of wanting to pay for the Gauteng province, President Zuma thought it would do some good to his name to gave a handy example and lo and behold! Malawi came to mind.

“We can’t think like Africans because we’re in Johannesburg and not some national road in Malawi,” said the SA President who has been referred to as brother by the Malawian president, Joyce Banda.
