The ruling Peoples’ Party has now come in to distance itself from its arrested executive party members, Ralph Kasambara, and Oswald Lutepo. In a statement, the party said that it had suspended the two indefinitely over their arrests in the shooting of Paul Mphwiyo and money laundering charges respectively.
Kasambara was the party’s legal affairs director while Lutepo was the party’s deputy director of sensitization and recruitment.
Currently, the two are in police custody awaiting bail to be given to them by the courts.
