Civil Society Organizations will start their ‘black’ Mondays which were billed as Satanic acts by one overzealous pastor on the national television station (MBCTV) next Monday, December 9.

The Civil Society Organizations under the umbrella body of Council for Non-governmental Organizations in Malawi (CONGOMA) announced late last month that they will start observing ‘black’ Mondays in which members of the public concerned with the state plundering will be putting on black attires.

The body further said that the court cases of Cashgate suspects should be speeded up failure which they will demand a removal of President Joyce Banda.

Their demands, of course, were met by a retaliation from government which said that the body was committing treason by calling for the removal of office of President Banda. Further to that, government paraded some pastors on the national television to dismiss the CSO demands with one overzealous pastor saying the CSO demands were Satanic in nature by their mere association with the color black.
