Reports indicate that the Illala vessel that plies its trade on Lake Malawi has docked to safety in Nkhatabay.
According to the reports that FaceofMalawi has, Illala which developed a fault while at the lake last evening and thereby putting the lives of travelers at a risk, was forced to make a dock at the shores of Nkhatabay from where it was.
FaceofMalawi understands that the vessel managed to make an emergency docking at that part of Nkhatabay using the same failed engines that could not take them any further.
