“Wawa ma Gunners wawa!”
Over the weekend Anjiru Fumulani took his love for English Premier League side Arsenal FC with him on stage during a show at Club XL in Blantyre. “I love football very much. If I have any regret in my life is that I can’t play football but I am very passionate about the game. I love Arsenal and when I have a free afternoon I make sure that I watch their match.”, he said.
Arsenal have been performing well above expectations this season and hold a 5 point lead at the top of the Barclay’s EPL.
Fumulani further revealed that the Black Missionaries Band sponsors a football club in Chileka called Chileka United even though people have changed the name to Ma Blacks United because of the club’s alignment with the Evison Matafale founded reggae outfit.
Chileka United receives support in the form of football boots, jerseys and transport whenever they play away from home.
