Brian Banda under fire for remarks over Ministerial attendance of Presidential functions

Ex-broadcaster but current part of the team of press officers for President Joyce Banda, Brian Banda, has come under heavy attack for the remarks he made yesterday hailing the ministers who attended the Presidential one cow, one family initiative in Chiradzulu district.

Political commentators have criticized the remarks as inappropriate claiming that they would make ministers scramble for Presidential functions and thereby ignore their own ministries and at the same time draining the resources of the government.

Used as a Director of Ceremonies in most of President Banda’s functions, Brian Banda, yesterday had a special congratulatory message to all the ministers who made it to the Presidential function claiming they are loyal to the party.
