A Malawian man was stabbed to death by his South African wife with the assistance of her brother earlier this month, it has been reported.
Reports indicate that Charles Jimmy Makawa was stabbed three times by his wife before he eventually succumbed to death after they had had a disagreement over the support of a child he fathered with the woman whose identity has been concealed.
The Malawian ambassador to South Africa, Stella Ndau, has confirmed of the incident which occurred on January 4.
Makawa who was born in 1976, was laid to arrest back home in Malawi on January 12 and his child is in custody at the Malawi embassy in South Africa. Meanwhile, the wife is behind bars over the attack.
