Used and dumped! That must be the story of one Paul Mphwiyo.
After allegedly being a middleman between unscrupulous politicians and stealing businessmen, the Anti-Corruption Bureau is said to be ready to arrest Mphwiyo, the information we have indicates.
The information indicates that ACB is ready to pounce on Mphwiyo and IT specialist, McFelton Filisa after the two were mentioned by some of the suspects in the Cashgate scandal.
Mphwiyo is said to have encashed MK 90 million from a company of one of the suspects in the scandal, Caroline Savala, whereas he collected another MK 120 million from IPS, a company owned by Oswald Lutepo — the chief suspect in the looting.
On the other hand, Filisa is linked to a Mk 23 million money that he collected from another cashgate suspect’s company, Visual Impact. The company is owned by Tressa Senzani.
Sources indicate that the investigations into the role of Mphwiyo in the looting were finished a long time ago but an arrest was halted by ‘powers from above’.
However, after Mphwiyo thought of divulging some info to the press, the ‘powers above’ have decided to take him head on.
