Maybe the President might stop going to Nigeria as she now has an evangelist close to her.
Ruling Peoples’ Party (PP) has appointed Evangelist Brown Mpinganjira as its Vice President for the Southern region after the holder of the position, Sidik Mia, resigned from the party last week.
Mpinganjira, one of the founders of the party, was beaten at the party convention for the same post by the same Mia.
A seasoned politician, Mpinganjira also serves as the Minister of Information and once led his own party, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) which he dissolved to join the PP.
Rumours have been that Mpinganjira is as well being considered to be the running mate to President Banda. In the 2009 elections, Mpinganjira was the running mate to MCP presidential candidate, John Tembo, and they lost the elections.
From the loss Mpinganjira went into preaching and became the evangelist he is now.
