The waiting was in vain and if anybody thought the Malawi government gives a damn about their questions over the Cashgate scandal then it is better to forget it, thus says the Malawi government in veiled words over the Cashgate scandal.
Reports from the Ministry of finance indicate that the Cashgate scandal forensic audit report which had to be released today will not be released until after a month.
According to the Ministry of Finance spokesperson, Nations Msowoya, as a ministry they have received a draft of the report but the report will not be ready for publication until after March 18.
This announcement has come at a time that some people have alleged that the report implicated the state President, Joyce Banda, as to have been involved in the looting of state coffers in a scandal that has not only left the nation on the edge of an economic turmoil but as well as seeing it lose some of its donors.
Earlier, government had indicated that the report would be published on February 14 but it was changed to a week later as they claimed that there were some other things that had to be finalized and today the government has as well changed tune on the publication of the same.
