South African clothing shop is closing down from Malawi completely after closing down its shop in Lilongwe last year.

According to reports, the shop is rolling off its business in a week’s time and has since advertised that it will be selling off all the clothes on its shelf at MK 2,000 each from this Saturday for a week.

Authorities from the shop have not disclosed any reason for closing down the shop but economic commentators have said that it is the competition that Mr. Price has faced in Malawi that has made them decide to roll themselves out of the country.

Malawi has seen a surge in kaunjika traders as well as Chinese shops that have been selling clothes at a cheaper price when compared to that of Mr. Price and eventually people have rushed to the other shops after being bit by an economy that is biting heavily as well in other fronts.
